CHEER CAMP '08

This past week we headed up to Chicago for cheerleading camp. It's always fun to see the girls in uniform for the first time and performing. After 4 long days I got home and was so happy to see Mike. I miss that kid when I'm gone! Here are some pictures of the last day.

this video is too cute, there are identical twins on varsity, one night we were all hanging out on the mats with the girls and one of the instructors decided to put them both up! I don't think they knew quit what to do...=)

Abbie's B-Day

This weekend we got to celebrate Abbie's birthday. She is getting so big! Erica decorated her Wizard of Oz Cake...she did a pretty good job!

birthday, camp, demo derby!!

Mike had a very busy day on his birthday so we celebrated after his basketball game, I made him a yummy cake!! His cake looked like a torch!! He better not get any older!=)

Girls Camp 2008.....RAIN!!!!!! Oh yes! WET TENTS(the ones that didn't collapse in the middle of the night)!!! It was great to be there with my sister and niece though, it was my sisters last year and my nieces first year. Hopefully the weather will work out better next year!!!!

DEMO BABY!! That's right every year since Mike and I first started dating....7 years ...I think...or 8???... I don't know I've lost count.... anyway....He has taken my to his hometown Jerseyville for the Jersey County Fair. It's hilarious!!!! Just to go and people watch is worth the trek out there! The last night of the fair they have a demolition derby this year we took my sister and Mike's cousin Jason and his wife Lauren. It was a fist demo derby experience for all of them and I don't think my sister will miss a year!!!!! She was loving it! I think she hooked....heaven help us!!!

And I saved the best for last!!!!!!!!!!POOR KID!!! Check out his dad in front!! Like I said it's fun to people watch...you never know what you will see!!

Here we go... off to girls camp!

July 4th

My family loves the 4th of July! That morning Mike and I went to the bishops brunch at the church. We had a really good time, ate a great brunch, which was awesome because later that morning all of my family went on a bike ride. I don't mean just a stroll around the neighborhood- a 13.5 mile bike ride!!!! It was crazy! And let me just say my parents are CHAMPS!! They led the pack the whole time! They left Erica and I in their dust!!! I love it! My dad really enjoys biking, so it was nice to do something all together that he really enjoys! Goodness knows he as been to many many dance recitals and cheerleading competitions!!! We had fun though, we put Zoe in a basket and she sat so good the whole time! What a sweetheart! Later that evening my parents had a big BBQ and we followed it up with fireworks!! It was a great 4th!!

I love this one!! She is Awesome!!!
