Tonight Mike and I had a little date night! We caught a movie and decided to bring in our own snacks!! yum! Then we came home and watched the debate. We are soooo cool! We would have never believed it when we were 16 if you told us this would be our Friday night!!=)I love Zoe in this picture... what a cutie!!

I know it has been f o r e v e r!!! Things have been so busy in the Mortensen household! On the plus side........I'm excited for the fall weather!! I can feel it is on its way!

And....I love my sister! Miss you babe!

Wild Streak of weather!!

This past weekend Mike was out of town with this brother and brother-in-laws doing a little male bonding....so my mom invited me to stay the night with her and some of the Edwardsville Ward ladies in St. Charles Mo. They all went to Time Out for Women On Saturday, so they came up with an awesome idea to meet Friday evening for dinner stay the night so they would be there in the morning. I of course had to work on Saturday, so sadly I couldn't go...But it was so much fun! We stayed up WAY to late watching the coverage of Hurricane Ike. Or should I say lack of Coverage....see below........

Now as we were getting ready for Bed Heather Porter and I were just watching a little Ike action when out of nowhere this happened!!!!!!

Heather fell to the floor in laughter and I stood there in SHOCK!!!! Where is a TiVo when you need it! Thanks Heather for finding this!! I laughed even harder watching it the second time around!!!!PRICELESS!!!!

Our night started out with a bite to eat a La Fonda's then for some real excitement we all headed over to Wal-mart to pick up some toilet paper and some jewelry thing for Mike(I had to snap a pic of them in the jewelry aisle they were so serious it was great!!)...fun I know!! There we found all sorts of things for Halloween!! We started trying on some masks just for a laugh and slowly it turned into who could find the grossest most disturbing one!! I think Mike and Jason won!! Since there is a college in our town they are always putting on something to involve the community. That night they had a block party with food, games, bunches of free stuff, a live band AND............................



HAAA!! LOVE IT!!
